COVID-19 Update
April, 2020
Dear Members and Friends,
So much has changed in the past month because of COVID-19, and I know how very difficult it is for everyone. The Coronavirus pandemic has forced Maryland Governor Larry Hogan to issue a Stay-at-Home order, all non-essential businesses to close, and events and festivals be cancelled or postponed. At Union Mills the health and well-being of our staff, volunteers and visitors is our top priority, and as a result we have cancelled the 51st Annual Flower & Plant Market scheduled for May 1st through May 3rd, and are suspending museum operations until June 2nd.
All of our up to date information can be found on our website: www.unionmills.org and also on our Facebook page. All of our events provide much of our fundraising each season, and any cancellations are difficult. Hopefully the remainder of the 2020 events will take place as scheduled. Your continued interest and support is greatly appreciated, and we hope that you will be supportive as we work through this extremely difficult time.
It is my sincere hope that each of you, your family and friends remain healthy, and that we can all return to our normal way of life soon.
With warm regards,
Jane Shriver Sewell, Executive Director
Union Mills Homestead Foundation, Inc.
