Looking for a unique venue for your wedding? Union Mills is the perfect place! The beautiful gardens and rustic Tannery provide a scenic setting for your special occasion.

The barn-like Tannery holds up to 150 people. Space is available off the back to add an optional large tent so you can host a significantly larger number of guests.

Wedding packages are available starting at $2700, including one tent, table, chairs. Pricing includes ceremony and reception. We handle most set-up and cleanup. Contact us for catering costs.

You may rent the venue for two days for a Saturday wedding, allowing time for you to set up on Friday. Last-minute weather-related changes are no problem, as our ample space allows flexibility to switch from outdoor to indoor when needed.

The gardens at the Union Mills Homestead, designed by Bessy Shriver Kemp in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, are lovingly maintained in keeping with Bessy’s original design.

From the upper gardens, guests cross a wooden bridge over the millrace that powers the 1797 Shriver Grist Mill, then stroll through charming gardens below, to the Tannery for the reception.

Guests love the relaxed atmosphere of the barn-like Tannery. This building was the drying shed for the A.K. Shriver & Sons Tannery, rebuilt in the early 1990s using traditional timber framing techniques.

In order to protect this unique historic landmark, we have a designated caterer, Tom Schuman of Kountry Kafe & Catering. Tom is easy to work with and willing to help and answer any questions. He can provide any additional rentals so everything is done in one step. The Tannery has paper globe lanterns and string lights already hung. Tom helps with every detail, from decor to the menu.
